This is a super fun book with cutesy illustrations. I love that the child in the story just accepts that there's a whale in his swimming pool; adults would probably have a harder time with that concept. The twist at the end is great! ...more

Bold illustrations make for a fun and goofy picture book about a whale in a swimming pool and how to make the most of a bad (or not) situation. Story time book with a whale or summer theme// could be toddler- 1.

This book needs to be paired with a nonfiction book or two about whales so that children aren’t left with misconceptions.
