What Members Thought
Here's what most people don't know about "Haunted": it's actually supposed to be two books.
One of them was going to be a novel about a writer's retreat gone wrong. The other was going to be a collection of short stories. The publisher, for reasons I still can't understand, told Chuck that short story collections don't sell and that he had to turn it into a novel for it to work, hence, we get "Haunted," a short story/novel thing that's about as convuluted and disorganized as I've ever seen.
