well, I like the theme... in real life there are predators and prey... between chapters I detected time jumps and actions, the descriptions of sex were a bit forced, it would perhaps be better to approach them from the perspective of primitive and forbidden needs, it's not a Easy book, I admit that it can be analyzed in several aspects... for some it is repugnant, for others it is exciting, for others it will be a mixture... associated with a psychological analysis??? the writing and description ...more

Alissa has got a hell of an amazing skill in character-development and scene-writing, the transitions between scenes is spectacular. The way she can describe things as well, she has a brilliant awareness of the male psyche for understanding what triggers the libido. The way she can take a scene and, for a moment flip it on its head, and temporarily bring about a whole new genre into the scene (e.g. the penultimate scene towards the end, on the street).

Absolutely horrifying...but well written. As a teacher here in St. Pete (across the bridge from Tampa) I felt obligated to read this book. What a wild ride of emotions. My usual genre of book is horror, and this is one of the most psychologically hecked up books I've ever read. ...more

Full disclosure: DNF as of about 40% through, but that doesn't mean it was bad.

Shocking for shock's sake, and therefore kind of boring. I have no issue with taboo subjects, to be clear, but I'd expected more from this particular book, and it fell short of my expectations.

I felt Celeste had little to no character depth, and the book just wanted to be porn. It's certainly well-written porn, if you're into that, or if that's what you walk into it expecting, but I thought it would be more psychologi
