spoilers alert ....
Dickens, as always, uses the lofty style and long sentences. It is irritating at first, but one gets used to it, thanks God. Oliver ,contradictory to the fact that he is the hero and suppose to be the most admirable character in the novel, to me, is the most teasing one. Dickens has not only given us an innocent child that always speaks like a haughty gentleman, but also a silly boy who is not able to grow up.
