Coraline is a children’s book albeit in difficult times, it can be a great source of inspiration for adults too. The story is about a venturesome girl called Coraline who moves into a new house with her family. Unbeknownst to her, there are dark, vicious forces residing on the other side of her house. Gaiman, with his impressive story-telling skills and witty humour, kindles hope in readers through Coraline who fights against all odds to ultimately vanquish the evil demons.

I found it to be a nice book. A good adaptation of Alice In Wonderland. Similarities and common factors were easily discernible.

I liked it overall, but the book failed to keep me hooked till the end. It was a quick read as it was quite short, but didn't feel like creepy in a way that it is known for. Just the logics that were fucked up, but it's an adaptation of Alice, what else do you expect?

I love the coraline and the cat, they both fight their fears and it leads them to victory.
