What Members Thought
This book was satisfying. It fed (pun intended) my enjoyment of creative food-related narrative, as well as my anxiety about actually working in a professional kitchen. Thielen's writing style is accessible and descriptive and immersive. I spent quite a bit of time looking at her picture on the book jacket cover, trying to figure out if we knew each other at Macalester. Though on second thought, she seems the kind of personality I would've remembered.
