I was looking for a nonfiction selection to read as part of a reading challenge. The first one I tried bored me to pieces, so I moved on to A Book of Bees. I do not keep bees (yet), but appreciate all pollinators and observing them. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book!
It reminded me a bit of something I once read called The Sound of Wild Snail Eating, but I liked it much more. Also a little reminiscent of Barbara Kingsolver's Prodigal Summer and Animal, Vegetable, Miracle ...more
