The last 3rd of this book is quite exciting. It was just a bit too slow a burn for me, as far as suspense-building. Also, and perhaps this was more noticeable on the audiobook version, but the word "sinew" is pretty grossly overused. I'm saying twice a book should be the cutoff.

I've been craving mystery suspense reads lately, a new leaf for me.
In the case of both Ruth Ware books I've read (In a Dark, Dark Wood, and now The Woman in Cabin 10), I didn't find them that believable or great, but they've been compelling and have kept my mind satisfyingly busy, trying to solve which of her not-so-likable characters are the evil doers.
