I had waited for this last installment to come out so that I could start marathoning all of the books. While I did marathon the original four I kind of left this off to side until I had time and while the details weren't super fresh in my mind I feel like it was close enough to having read Winter that I really could enjoy this book.

Stars Above is a great addition to the Lunar Chronicles. If you didn't already know, it is a collection of short stories of characters from the main novels. Most of the stories are prequel stories, giving some background and history to the characters. There is an epilogue to the last book, Winter, and also a side story, The Little Android which features an appearance of Cinder, the main character, but focuses on an android and is a retelling of "A Little Mermaid".

Overall I really enjoyed this collection as an addition to The Lunar Chronicles. It filled in some of the gaps that had been mentioned in the main story. My favourite was definitely Winter and Jacin's story, which showed how and why Jacin became a guard and how Winter developed the lunar sickness. I enjoyed the short sequel at the end as well but I do wish more of the stories had taken place after the events of Winter - I want more Cress and Thorne!
