I spent the first 100 or so pages wondering if I was even going to like this book and feeling like all the different types of witches were being thrown at me in a very short period of time, but as soon as the story started to pick up I read it straight through with very few stops. This is the first book in awhile where I found myself thinking about it anytime I was out doing something else and finding myself looking forward to going home so I could continue reading.

I had many problems with this book:
1º The nonexisting world-building: We are thrusted into this wolrd and the author just expects us to follow her without little to no explaining of this world, and this could be just because the wolrd wasn´t entirely fleshed out. We hear about a peace treatry thats about to end, but we don´t know who is fighting in this war or why were they fighting in the first place. The magic system is really underwhelmingly unimaginative yet not explain at all, i ...more
