3.5 stars.
This was a hard book to rate for me. I did enjoy it overall but I had quite a few problems with it.
First off, it read like a children's book, which is fine because it's meant to be a children's adventure story, but it made it jarring when the characters swore.
Second, because it was the last book in a non-existent series I couldn't really believe the relationships or how the story was progressing because I didn't have all the back story and character development building from book one ...more

Better late than never. Although I think I've read it at exactly the right time.

Second Read: 23rd - 25th January 2017
Just like Fangirl, I loved this even more the second time around. It was nice to read it straight after Fangirl and I loved being back in Simon Snow's world. A year and a bit later, I still love Baz Pitch...
