OKay so there is a LOT to be said about this book. Like many I have given this book 5 stars mainly due to the fact that I have been hooked into this series and that in the end Sarah J Maas can write a really gripping plot. I loved the Manon chapters so much more in this book and liked how it started to really tie into the main story arc. Dorian broke my heart. But then there was the Aelin and Chaol dynamic. I felt like Chaol got some bashing in this book that I really didn't enjoy. You could tel

This book is huge and I enjoyed every single second of it. Looking back, Maas throws some serious high-fantasy curve balls (and plot twists) but she does so in a way that the reader never misses a beat. She very easily could have worked a love triangle into this book (all the ingredients were there), but she did not. I kept expecting it around every corner, but thankfully, it never came to fruition. Believe me, that is refreshing. This was the book (#4) that made me fall head over heels in love

I knew this book was going to be amazing but it went beyond my expectations! By far the best book in the series and definitely my favourite book of this year! Loved every part of it and the characters just made it perfect. Really liked Chaol and Aedion a lot more in this book and loved Dorian and Rowan just as much. Filled with action, magic, romance, castles and kingdoms. The perfect fantasy series! If you haven't picked up this series yet then I suggest you should!

read on the January TBR: end reading Queen of shadows.
the reason i gave this three stars is because Sarah decided to ruin ships, characters and give more leadership to the new characters than the old ones.
the first half of the book was a total lose of time reading it. I actually stopped reading it for a while and only finished the book bc it was on the TBR. the second half wasn't that bad but neither as good as the first or second book.
meeting Aelin had me wishing for Celaena to come back. she d ...more

THIS WAS SO FREAKING GOOD
I stayed up until 2am three nights in a row reading this and got up an hour earlier before my holiday to finish.
This book exceeds my ridiculously high expectation. Thank you Sarah J Maas for being the Queen of writing and just generally being awesome.
I love everything about this book, the plot, the characters, the writing. It was beautiful!
In conclusion this book is perfection and when I grow up I want to be Aelin Ashryver Galathynius.

I am in awe of Sarah. The story is so complex. The way it's told, you never know what's about to happen, what the plan is, what's about to go wrong, or if the plan going wrong was actually the plan all along. It's an exciting, thrilling, emotional ride, and I'm enjoying it immensely.
Also, where can I find a Rowan of my own?

This was such a great continuation to the series, I absolutely loved it! Also, I didn't even realize I shipped the ship until it sailed but I SHIP IT SO HARD, OKAY.
