Some of us had read the author's debut novel 'Girl on the Train', and most of us had seen the film so maybe we expected too much from this second book. We were a little disappointed, finding the structure very distracting: eleven narrators tell the story in very short chapters, some in the third person, some in the first person, making the reader work far too hard.
