We all thought this book really deserved its 'classic' status, and found it very moving, with interesting characters that we felt very sympathetic towards, particularly George and Lennie. Three of us also saw the film of the Broadway play which was shown at the Hippodrome, with an excellent cast, and that helped to bring the book to life for us.
