Goth Girl is a story about a child whose mother has died. She lives with her father and they have a strained relationship. She only sees her father at dinner, and she has to wear ‘clompy’ shoes so he knows where she is within the house at all times. However, Goth Girl owns a pair of soft shoes and often explores the house and gardens without her father’s knowledge.
