[close] I thought in the back drop of Forbidden that it would be great to read a Black woman's story of "passing" for white. The author Nella Larsen is not very well known as Zora Neale Hurston, but she is also one of the women from the "Harlem Renaissance Era." Her book "Passing" is one of the best I've read on the topic. While this is a fictional book, Larsen does capture the era. I think that you all will enjoy it. It is on Amazon in paperback and Kindle. I read it a long time ago so I will be re-reading it with you...
