What Members Thought
Written in the same style as "Where the Mountain Meets the Moon" but I think I liked this one better. Maybe. Great pictures, and stories. The individual tales held together very well with the overall story and I loved that it left the ending open. Rendi was an interesting character and watching him grow through the story was rewarding. This one would make a great read aloud.

I loved this as much as I loved its companion- WHERE THE MOUNTAIN MEETS THE MOON. Lin's writing is beautiful, and I love the interspersing of Chinese folklore and fables into the story. A must-read for Middle Grade.

Ms. Lin is a wonderful story teller. I can't decide if I liked this as much as Where The Mountain Meets The Moon or not but I'm not putting much thought into it. They're both so very nice and this was somewhere above 4 stars. And she does the art, including the cover; so good. I'll be reading When The Sea Turned To Silver very soon. I think that's where I started but I wanted to read the three in publication order.
