Sometimes when you read a book, you want to know more about one of “co-stars.” DiCamillo satisfies that desire with this book. We get the back story and more on Louisiana Elfante. It would be impossible to fully appreciate without reading RAYMIE NIGHTINGALE.I think this is a much better book.
It's fun to read this just after finishing Raymie Nightingale. Continues the story of the three friends, this book from Louisiana's POV. A moving story of friendship and family.

Just read again bc it was lying about the house. My oldest son quickly read it too. Such a cute and thoughtful book.
