Aw, I'm so sorry this sweet, poignant series about an Ojibwe family in the 19th century had to end. Humor, pathos, above all, wonderful details and unforgettable characters. I loved this story about their travels from the Great Lakes to the Great Plains.

This is a story about a native American family in the 1800s. It's an extended family and tells about how the youngest of the group learned about hunting buffalo and surviving out on the plains. I thought it was a really great story.
