When no one else is home George likes to try on her mother's clothes and shoes, and she has a stash of women's magazines that she pages through, admiring the hair and the makeup and the clothes. She dreams of the day she can be herself and live the life she wants to live. But how to tell the people who love her her secret?...

Enjoyed reading about the topic of gender identity. Wasn't too crazy about the writing itself, but yay for the author to craft such a piece. I also appreciated that the reader of the audio book is transgender.

Character driven with a plot to keep readers interested, the important topic of a child experiencing transgender identity is addressed with an authentic voice and a positive outcome.
Simple yet important, George is full of wonderful characters and realistic situations. A fantastic middle grade novel.
