A good read and a good introduction to the issues. Kids and adults are believable. Glad I read it and hope I have the chance to introduce it to others.
To the rest of the world, George is a boy. On the inside however, she has always felt different - and she has always known she's not a boy. When no one else is home George likes to try on her mother's clothes and shoes, and she has a stash of women's magazines that she pages through, admiring the hair and the makeup and the clothes. Enjoyed reading about the topic of gender identity. Wasn't too crazy about the writing itself, but yay for the author to craft such a piece. I also appreciated that the reader of the audio book is transgender.

Wonderful to see stories about transgender kids and will add this to my class bookshelf. Love the premise and potential in all of the characters. Not a huge fan of the actual writing. Needs more development.
Character driven with a plot to keep readers interested, the important topic of a child experiencing transgender identity is addressed with an authentic voice and a positive outcome.
Simple yet important, George is full of wonderful characters and realistic situations. A fantastic middle grade novel.
