Struggled with rating this book 3 or 4 stars. Then, went to book group yesterday and our discussion was so good that I decided to go with the 4* rating. The discussion was so good that it pushed it up to the 4*.
I liked the characters, enjoyed the story, felt the writing was good and most important, I wanted to keep picking up the book. The book was not too wordy and I felt the author used her words well. I read "Bel Canto" a long time ago and think I'll try to read another of Ann Patchett's boo ...more
