Scalzi doing what he does. I really enjoyed the ride, though I figured out much of the twist before it hit in the book. That’s not a bad thing, and there were still enough surprises to keep me happy. It’s a well thought out world, and I enjoyed even the “oral history” epilogue showing the world in broad strokes through anecdotes.

The rating is actually 3.5 (I tend to compare Scalzi's books to his own book, OMW), but it was so fun and easy-to-read, I put it as 4 stars instead of 3.
