Imagine you're reading this book, only it ends up that you're watching it as a movie on television and standing in front of the screen is the author blocking your view of what's happening in the movie (in the book). He's narrating every so often what's going on in the movie, but he won't get out of your way so you only get bits and pieces of what's going on in the movie.

Too bad. I know how important this book is to the cyberpunk genre and I wanted to like it!
Plus it’s the buddyread with the #SciFiMonth crew!
But I really don’t like the sleazy bars and similar venues, nor Case and his drug taking and his killing for money.
I was slightly more interested in Julius.
I actually have a hard time with the dialogs, not only the style, but even the meaning sometimes, so maybe my English is ultimately not good enough to understand and appreciate this book!

A sci-fi cyberpunk story that is an excellent story involving cyber space, street samurai, and plenty of other future tech. The characters are excellent and the story moves at a fast pace.
Not much can be said about this story without giving much away. Needless to say I loved this story! It is the start of cyberpunk and still withstands the time that has passed since it was written. Definitely worth reading if you enjoy sci-fi or want to see the start of cyberpunk.
