What a fantastic idea for a series, to have an aerial combat unit set in the Napoleonic wars, not with aircraft but with dragons.
The story starts with Captain Will Laurence of the HMS Reliant capturing a French frigate and with her, a dragon egg. The story follows the hatched dragon Temeraire as he is trained and as he takes part in his first battles.
