LOVED this book and the emotions it evoked. Coming of age, young love, death, mental illness, aging, commitments, humanity. I want all of my friends to read this one!
Perhaps I live in the land of the overly sensitive. My anxiety after the first description of animal cruelty took my breath away. Not trusting this to be the only incident, I kept my guard up. I don't want to feel sick to my stomach anticipating another deplorable act; And, there were more to come.
