I'm always so torn on the rating system. Should I rate on a literary scale or enjoyment scale, or some blending of them both?
Here is a book that just personifies this conundrum. I know it's nominated for a ton of literary awards but I don't see this book as a a piece of literature . At times it was thoroughly contrite and convenient while it beats you over the head with some themes.

I didn't read this book because I wanted to, but because I felt like I should. I was more than pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The writing style had me captivated after the prologue. What a clever story and a wonderful way of telling it. I don't think many will be disappointed with this book!

I really loved this one! I got very interested in the history of the circus and even visted the circus history museum in Baraboo, WI. If you haven't been there, you should check it out!
