This book could be called "Life After Life After Life After Life...". Wonderfully written and interestingly constructed, the novel follows the life of Ursula, born in 1910. Her first death is in childbirth and her story (with different twists about the characters and happenings)begins again, only to have Ursula die another way. I enjoyed probably the first 3/4 of this book, but then all of a sudden Atkinson seemed to be in a terrible hurry to finish it off. Things were wrapping up nicely, but then the plot shot off in a bunch of unforeseen directions and had no real resolution. It was almost as though the author knew how she wanted the book to finish but was sick of writing it, so skipped straight there. Unusual, to say the least. The rest of it I really enjoyed! I just wish it ended better. Maybe three extra chapters
