Forget the YA label, this is flat-out one of the best stories I've read in awhile. I am hesitant to call this book important because reading important books can feel like a chore, but it so is right now. Important and funny and poignant and relatable. I was sad when the book was over.

This was one of my top 3 books of 2017...it’s just as good in 2018. The many messages woven through the story are still poetic and important. Here’s hoping the movie does right by this beautifully haunting book.
