most people relish the idea of love against all odds, that crosses boundaries, & forces sacrifices worse than death, & I'll admit I can, but too often the rational side of my mind sees the folly in pretending that all odds are surmountable in & of themselves. If you like to hunker down in that kind of love, then read this book. I had purchased this book awhile ago, so when it was Amazon's YA club's choice for November, I thought it would be a good time to read it. Sadly, it wasnt for me. I really had to force my way through it. I just dont like war and fighting books if its not supported by some other strong backstory or things to make you think. I felt it was just another YA fantasy -ish book. but with nothing special to make it memorable or meaningful to me.
