I knew who did it by pg. 66, but that didn't stop me from continuing to read this psychological thriller and questioning whether my suspicions were correct. Hawkins is really good at showing how the mind can be an unreliable source through three points of view. It goes back and forth between what the subconscious mind might know versus wrong speculations based on perception of the evidence.

I bought this book in a fit of pique having thrown down a Patrick Rothfuss snorefest. Anything for some action.

It's not the typical type of book I read but it delivered. Fast-paced and full of intrigue, twists and turns, I found it hard to put down.

The writing style is not going to win any awards but that's not the point of this book. As a comment on the dark side of middle-class society it is excellent. Even if it did leave me feeling a little anxious...

This book was pretty good. I got the audiobook on my Overdrive app because I wanted to watch the trailer for the movie without being spoiled. It was interesting reading from the viewpoint of an unreliable narrator. I don’t read those kinds of books often, so it was a nice change of pace. I also really liked the writing style.
