I thought this book was well written but I have to admit that while reading it, I felt really depressed when reading about how the main character was feeling and what she'd been through. The mystery was great and intriguing but I would definately not compare it to Gone Girl at all.

I honestly don't understand the hype behind this book. It moves along at a slow pace and the 'shocking' plot twist wasn't shocking and presented in such a way that it should have been obvious from the beginning.
