I liked writing and the world and the loop and the wights and hollows and all the characters; however, I imagined more action. Now in the last two chapters (like, the last 100 pages), there was a lot of action; and I loved that part of the book. I thought there would be more throughout the book.
And with Emma, I'm glad they didn't get together because that would have been weird.
I think the pictures were really cool but, like my aunt said, it felt like Mr. Riggs took big maneuvers just to incorp

This was a really interesting mystery/supernatural story. I was drawn to it by the very odd photographs that are part of the story itself and are meant to represent some of the peculiar children that reside in Miss Peregrine's home. This story uniquely deals with the Holocaust, time travel, and extraordinary beings. Basically, a boy comes to realize that his grandfather's 'fairy stories' weren't actually fiction, and he returns to the obscure Welsh island of his grandfather's youth to investigat ...more

Loved the start! I couldn't put the book down. But as I was reaching the conclusion, everything suddenly became not so interesting anymore. I finished the book nonetheless but the last chapters did not give me the kind of ending that I was expecting or hoping for. ...more

Very, very enjoyable read. Didn't go at all the way I expected it to, from start to finish, which is unusual for me. I would recommend this to teenagers and adults alike. Small warning: there will be a sequel to this book, and while it doesn't end on a cliffhanger (my definition of one, anyway,) if you don't like waiting for sequels, put this on hold until the series is complete. ...more
