Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is my all time favorite movie ever so I HAD to read this book. It has a lot of the same themes (repeating mistakes, people you are drawn to, authenticity), but instead of talking about your experiences and how they shape you it is also talking about how you just can't erase WHO you are. It also adds the contemplation of grief and the importance of that process. It's a part of life and any short cuts would be detrimental.

This review contains mild spoilers. This is the first book I have read that really delves into the struggles of someone dealing with their sexuality, and I have to say it was really well done. The emotions that Aaron expressed were so raw, real, and heart wrenching. This book is about so many things I'm just sort of speechless.
