What Members Thought
A disappointing read for me.
First, I thought the characters were really flat. I didn't really get a sense of them besides "then Julie did this" and "then James did that". Second, I didn't feel very much emotion from this book. I don't know if it had anything to do with the first person POV alternating between each MC, but it just felt like a lot of telling what happened, yet I didn't feel anything myself when reading about what happened.

Interesting. Not your standard haunted house story. On the surface, a fairly normal couple move into their first home. Strange things begin to happen, they investigate. The story is told between alternating viewpoints of the husband and wife. Where we step away from the normal is in how the author uses the horror genre to explore the human psyche.
