Nimmira is a small land which has survived by remaining hidden from its neighbours by means of a magical boundary mist. When the Lord of Nimmira dies, the succession passes not as expected to one of his three sons, but to his unacknowledged daughter Keri. Why the land has chosen to pass its magic to Keri, no one can say, but the mist is failing, and with Nimmira now visible, she must find a way to repair the magical boundary before her land becomes fully visible to outside eyes.

This is a very sweet, good-natured fairy tale about a woman who is thrust into leading her small, hidden country in the middle of a crisis created by her predecessor. To call it sweet does not mean that there's no peril or plot, but rather that it is fundamentally good natured. There are not many surprises in this one, even though I have been so conditioned to expect them that I kept seeing dark elements in characters at every turn (and for the most part, being disappointed).
