As I was gearing myself up to start Six of Crows, all I could think was: is this book going to be the new The Lies of Locke Lamora? As anyone who knows me can tell you, I love love LOVE The Lies of Locke Lamora. It’s my go-to heist book, my go-to when I need tight plotting, my go-to when educating unsuspecting friends/strangers on how great fantasy books can be… Honestly, if it’s not my favourite book, then it’s right up there. So I’ll cut to the chase. Does Six of Crows knock The Lies of Locke

A new drug, Jurda Parem, appeared in Ketterdam, which allows a Grisha to have insane powers. The Fjerdan witch hunters have the maker of this drug and Kaz and his crew have been hired to break him out before someone else gets their hands on him.
The Crew:
Kaz is the mastermind. A ruthless gang lieutenant who walks with a cane, always wears gloves, and has a dark reputation.
Inej used to be a tightrope walker and now acts as Kaz's spy. She believes in her gods and can climb anything.
Nina's a curvy G ...more

4.5 stars!!
“No mourners. No funerals.”
OK so I am torn on how to review this, I know that you all have read SO many reviews for Six of Crows and even several for Crooked Kingdom, but I just have to give a few insights on how much I LOVED this book!
The characters were so AMAZING! Each one was so different and they each brought something so important to the story!
A convict with a thirst for revenge
A sharpshooter who can’t walk away from a wager
A runaway with a privileged past
A spy known as the Wrai ...more

I really liked the The Grisha Trilogy (Shadow and Bone, etc.) but I looooooved this new series -- set in the same fantasy world, but in a different location and with different characters. The premise is that a gang of six unlikely allies (mostly wily street kids, plus a Grisha and a former prisoner) are going to break into the unbreakable Ice Court of Fjerda and liberate one of its prisoners. This series has action, intrigue and a fascinating and detailed world; but most of all, it has the kind
