I read A House with Bones, and while it took me a minute to get into it, and I did get kind of bored somewhere in the middle, the surprise at the end left me truly enjoying the story over all. So I gave this a shot. I enjoyed the mycology factor and there were definitely parts of this that I enjoyed, but the book was a little too predictable and the fear factor just wasn’t there for me. Was weary considering I love Poe's The Fall of the House of Usher. Have to say it was a great retelling. Worth the hype and interested to read more from the author.
