in this book, john green details the history, present, and potential future state of tuberculosis. i must admit i didn’t know much about this infection before starting this. so, it was very eye-opening to read about how this disease went from being romanticized to stigmatized. white supremacy unfortunately plays a big role in how diseases are viewed by society and by doctors, and john green discussed this a lot in this book. in addition to the facts about tuberculosis, he also ...more

Claiming EVERYTHING is Tuberculosis is a bit of a stretch, but I think John did a good job of showing how prevalent it is in our lives for an illness that was supposedly handled decades ago.
A very good book, short and sweet, delivering the information you need but in an entertaining way similarl to a YouTube video or podcast script. It's conversation as well as informative, which gets the information to you in a way that sticks and doesn't feel like a textbook.
