This book was amazing there is definitely a slow burn romance going on looking forward to where that goes I liked both the characters and the story. I loved all of the characters so much but I especially love Ophelia she is a interesting character she is strong willed she cares about many people and does not like her current situation she adapts pretty well despite I am also looking forward to where her and Thorn goes from here even if it is not so great so far. This book was really messy. I don't really know how I feel about it.

The world is fascinating. The fact that people live on these like floating arcs that like it's heavily implying the world we live on is like long forgotten because of some terrible thing we did. The people on these arcs are descendant of these god-like creatures and the powers everyone have from traveling through mirrors and being able to hurt people with your mind is amazing. The problem is all of the characters are insufferab This book was really messy. I don't really know how I feel about it.

The people on these arcs are descendant of these god-like creatures and the powers everyone have from traveling through mirrors and being able to hurt people with your mind is amazing. The problem is all of the characters are insufferable.

My biggest problem with this book is that it's unnecessarily cruel, and the main character is a pushover to 90% of the characters, that she has no agency and I can't even get mad the character herself because she keeps trying to advocate for herself but she quite literally has no power in this counrt that she ended up in. Which is extremely frustrating given that it's an arranged marriage, how can she have no power when they need her just as much as she needs them (arguably they need her more than she needs that, imo).

I can't get what the books were going for with the court intrigue and how terribly in vain people can be in court, but sometimes it just feels so unnecessarily cruel because she has no way of pushing back, and there are no consequences for people hurting her constantly. (view spoiler)
