I don't know how I had never heard of this duology before. Rebecca Ross came onto my radar with Dreams Lie Beneath and then pretty much solidified her stay with Divine Rivals, but yet this book just slipped right through.

This is such a beautiful, well-balanced duology. The mythological elements of the setting, in which spirits abound in all the natural elements and magic lives on, add layers to the already atmospheric Scotland. I loved the characters and their story, and I'm so sad that this was only a duology not a series because I didn't want it to end.
