This book had it's problems but I still found myself mostly enjoying it. I have heard that the author shows massive growth in her writing throughout this series and I look forward to seeing that.

Full disclosure, I read pretty much this entire book in one night while dealing with an extreme bought of insomnia and it held my attention. I agree with a lot of people that this has WAY too much going on and has some crazy cliche moments that had my eyes rolling. The airport scene...really? I did howe ...more

this is a dual pov romance showing the perspectives of ava, whose brother just left the country, leaving her with his handsome-yet-elusive best friend for a neighbor, and alex, who’s always been closed-off for his own reasons, but starts to open up as he spends time with ava.

I know that Alex was an dark alpha male but I didn't really care for this storyline. I liked Ava's group of friends and that she made her place in the world and did her best to overcome her fears. Title is spot on! I'm not sure I 'm going to continue the series. I would like to know how the princess fares out in the next book. ...more

Ummm… no. Just no. The male MC was too alpha. Like an extreme alpha where it wasn’t good. I didn’t like the plot. I just all around didn’t like this one. The female narrator was good. I loved her. The male narrator, not so much. He was not very good. I’m kind of wondering if I even want to read any other books by this author, but I might still continue this series just to see.

I had to put this down Saturday night because I was in a mood and this book was not helping.

I'm mixed on one end I enjoyed it and on another this book was just not it. I'm surprised it was so hyped and I want to read the next book but if I don't oh well?

This book was a hot mess. It started out pretty but the pacing was off and the story went off the rails with unbelievable plot points. The MMC is a bit of a buttmunch but I liked the other characters enough that I plan to read the next book. Hopefully the pacing and plot points are better.
