I have never been a giant fangirl for this world, but I liked Oak in the original trilogy and after finishing that I was committed so figured I may as well continue. And it was OK. Nothing spectacular, but it holds the same travel and scheming themes as the last one, and we get some Jude and Cardan appearances.

I don’t rate books that I don’t finish and I personally think it’s a shitty thing to do so I don’t do it. However, if I didn’t finish this then I obviously couldn’t get into it. I remember wanting to read this one because the first one was a cliffhanger but I just cannot get back into this story. It would have been better to just have it as one book in my opinion. I just don’t think this is the author for me.
