The only real problem I have with this book is with the characterization of Tharion.

I feel conflicted about this book. It does seem like Maas put a lot of effort into it, there are so many details about the world, it's history, and various small elements. It's cool to have it fleshed out, but some times I felt like it was information overload and I know I missed things.

I really enjoy this world and all the characters. This story just drew me in and I loved every moment of being in this fantasy universe!

Still my least favorite series by SJM. I just think she bit off too much in this series. The more modern setting, the adult vs NA audience, the random sci fi ending…. She’s a great author but this stretched her too much.
2.5 stars. Would be a 2 star but Lidia 'saved' this book
