This was a lot better than i expected it to be. I am not one to jump into fantasy but it was like hunger games meets divergent. i cant wait to dive into the next one in the series.
Yeah, I get the hype.
I think it's overhyped, but I get it.
This book is fun to read, fucking addictive but there's not a lotnof substance.
It feels nostalgic like the mid 2010s underestimated ba girl characters who end up fighting the power at the top.
But with more sex lol ...more

I could see a lot of things coming, but still had a lot of fun getting there.
Well that was fun! When does book 2 come out again?
Wow. I need Book 2 right now. There were some things that annoyed me in here, or caused an eye roll, so 4.5 is the official rating. But the speed at which I read this, and the need to pick it up the second I could overpowered the minor annoyances.
This reminded me so much of Divergent and I loved that book so much. This gave me all those feels, but had dragons in the mix. Oh how I loved the dragons. I have more to say. It will formulate thoughts later.

This book has been getting so much hype. The story itself is a super generic YA fantasy. It was incredibly predictable. However, I LOVED the disability representation. The accommodations and how she's treated took this book from a 3 to a 4 star for me.

It had lots of eye rolling moments but the dragons saved the book. It reads a little YA than adult especially with the super special h - Violet. I would continue the series probably

Excellent...must read...!
The author is a magician with chapter endings. You'll be turning the pages until the end and still want more. Kudos for sign language representation. *Spoiler Alert maybe* : "The general pivots and, for a second, looks down at me like she's not just my commanding officer, with worry and a touch of horror in her eyes. She looks at me like she's just...Mom." #IYKYK
