What Members Thought
I read this directly after "The Fall of the House of Usher" by Edgar Allan Poe, and I'm quite impressed. I love how it fills in all the gaps from the original story and makes everything make sense. I especially liked the creepy hares and fish. Shudder!
On the minus side, I didn't really like the repitition in the narrator's thought process. I get that it was showing how they weren't thinking clearly, but it wasn't that enjoyable to read. Also, while the sworn soldier thing was an interesting bit ...more

I am yet again left speechless over this author prose and ability to tell a story! I need to read everything by her!
I don’t do spooky because I am indeed a chicken, but this book was so great that it could not even give me nightmares! I was too much in awe and intrigued by the plot.
This is so different from Nettle and Bone (which I loved) and I would have never guessed it was coming from the same author…
I don’t know what is T. Kingfisher ‘s process when she writes, but I’m imagining her sittin ...more
