I absolutely LOVE Roman and Iris. They're such a perfect match for each other and their love moves forward and grows from book 1.
I loved how much spirit Iris had and how fearless she was. Maybe not fearless, but courageous. I won't say a lot of what happens but let's just say than Roman aka. C. or Carver ends up forced to write for Dacre, one heck of a mean god! While Iris writes for Enva. Dacre holds a lot over Roman's head so he has to do a lot of sneaking around and risk-taking the few times ...more

Perhaps I loved Divine Rivals too much and the sequel just couldn't live up to it. Parts of this book were lovely and parts just dragged. It felt like the book left some loose ends, which left me feeling unsatisfied.
