First five star read of the year. I loved this!
Yumi lives in a world where spirits are summoned by stacking rocks in intricate patterns, while Painter lives in a world where Nightmares stalk the streets and have to be painted into lesser forms to be banished. Somehow they end up in each others’ worlds whenever they fall asleep, and become invisible in their own.
The worlds here were fantastic, and I just loved everything about the premise.

This was my first Brandon Sanderson book and I absolutely loved it. The main characters were so thought out, the world was great, and I could not read this fast enough. Overall, the story was so good and I loved the ending. Plus, that cover is wow.
