Read for a challenge.
It’s an overall cute story. Enjoyed the setting since I’m a fan of pumpkin patches & autumn festivals. Bonus points for the fact that Deja is pansexual.
Would recommend to a much younger demographic.

Time for a reread!
This is definitely in my all time favourite graphic novels, I think tied with Heartstopper: Volume One. And I don't even know what succotash is.
Deja and Josiah are so stinking adorable in here! I love their blush lines and the amount of expression captured in the illustrations, and the genuine friendship they capture on every page. Their random adventures are so much fun to follow along, with Deja going with the flow, and Josiah being. Stickler for rules and routine.

This is a graphic novel about two teens who work at a fall fair. It’s the last night and the last chance for Josiah (Josie) to talk to the girl he’s be pining for.
i absolutely love the art style and how the speech bubbles and characters weren’t always contained inside the boxes. such a cute graphic novel even during seasons other than fall!
