I was very surprised by this book. I didn't think I was going to like it as much as I did. It had a very cozy vibe while I was reading it and I very much loved the found family feelings it gave me when I was reading it. I also like how her feelings changed towards her benefactor in the end. The ending felt very complete, which is the closest word I could come to for how I felt about it.

Picked this up on a shopping trip after I spied it in a bookstore. Its been on my radar but I wasn't too sure about it. I also think the other cover is prettier than the UK edition but you gotta go with what you get.
I didn't hate this. I thought the magic system was OK. It was really interesting the concept that witches can't be around each other and they have these meetings every 3 months and thats their interactions. I thought it was clever.

Super light and cosy read, with a couple of twists. Quite twee. The feeling of belonging and human-connection is what did it for me.
I did find the sex scene unnecessary considering the nature of the book. I would have recommended this to teens if it weren’t for that.
A few sad moments for poor Mika, but overall, a very sweet and easy read.

This was adorable. It felt like a hetero female version of House on the Cerulean Sea. Though there is still a gay couple. The heteronormative relationship stuff was a bit much for me at times and the smut isn’t the best, but it certainly wasn’t the worst. I still really enjoyed this story and the characters.
