This was one of the cutest, most adorable books that I have read and one whose characters and world were so wonderful that I didn't want to get out of it.

It has a grumpy-sunshine vibe, a magical found family, three adorable kids and their older, irrepressible caretakers. All of these things along with a wonderfully injected humour and the atmosphere of magic and mystery make this one fabulous book.

This was a mixed bag for me. I really liked Mika's interactions with the children, and I really like Ian and also the others, but I didn't really warm up to Jamie until I was over halfway through the book.

A very cute cozy fantasy novel with adorable characters, witty banter, interesting plot, a little twist or 2 and just written very well with spot on pacing.
